The Health Science Education Center (HSEC) 7th floor provides a number of spaces and equipment for serving academic needs as well as providing premier event space.

The spaces below are managed by the Health Sciences Classroom Services office:
- Classrooms 7-150 and 7-152 are multipurpose rooms with flexible seating that can accommodate 128 attendees each, or up to 256 as a combined classroom, in an active learning (ALC) configuration.
- The adjacent 7th floor Prefunction Lobby (HSEC 704CC) located southeast of the HSEC 7-150/7-152 classrooms can serve as overflow space for the classroom occupants, although not reservable. It is up to the combined room host to manage traffic flow and use of the Prefunction Lobby.
- A 7th floor Catering Kitchen (HSEC 7-141) is available for HSEC 7-150/7-152 event needs.
Room Setup
- HSEC 7-150/7-152 will use a default layout that meets the needs of the majority of courses each semester. Furniture reconfiguration between courses will only be possible if there is ample setup and takedown time.
- Event setup can be coordinated through HSCS at a cost via the Room Setup Form on TDX, or HSCS can provide oversight to the event host(s).
- HSCS does not provide additional furniture for hallway/open study space. HSCS only provides furnishings that are in our classrooms. Room users are asked to keep furnishings in the appropriate classrooms/spaces.
- If room users need additional furniture for the areas that Facilities Management (FM) manages (open study spaces, corridors, other public areas) they can rent through Apres rental or another, reputable rental company and coordinate delivery, setup, and clean up, upon granted approval from FM.
7th Floor Catering Kitchen Use (HSEC 7-141)
- Use of the 7th floor Catering Kitchen (HSEC 7-141) can only be requested when reserving HSEC 7-150/7-152 (combined room ONLY) through HSCS via email at [email protected] or indicated on the description of the event request through Astra Schedule.
- Groups reserving the HSEC 7th floor Catering Kitchen are responsible for adhering to the HSEC 7-141 Catering Kitchen Guidelines.
- Groups reserving the HSEC 7th floor Catering Kitchen may request for an Orientation for how to use the kitchen space as needed via the A/V Orientation Form on TDX.
- Use of the catering kitchen requires an FM custodial cleaning, which carries a minimum fee of $55. The After Hours/Special Events Request Form must be completed and approved by FM prior to reservation confirmation.
