Classroom Hours of Operation

HSCS classrooms support teaching, learning, and collaboration across the health sciences community. Standard classroom hours help ensure spaces are available, secure, and ready to support scheduled academic activities.

Building access may differ from classroom access, so we encourage all students, faculty, and staff to carry their U Card when using University facilities.

Supporting Access Beyond Standard Hours

While most classrooms are available during standard operating hours, requests for access outside these hours may be accommodated when operationally feasible. For access, room reliability, and other considerations related to a scheduled activity’s success, we limit weekend scheduling (beginning at 5 p.m. on Fridays) to a small subset of classrooms. Additional staffing or Facilities Management costs may apply to support safe and reliable access.

Our goal is to balance flexibility for special activities while ensuring responsible stewardship of University resources.
