General Classroom Requests
Can I request a specific classroom?
Specific room requests may be submitted, but assignments are based on overall classroom availability, instructional requirements, and equitable access considerations. While we do our best to accommodate room preferences, final assignments depend on capacity, technology requirements, and scheduling priorities.
What if my enrollment changes?
Course placement changes can be requested after initial assignments are made. HSCS will review available options and work with you to identify appropriate space.
How are specialized classroom needs accommodated?
Our team reviews instructional requirements, classroom features, and available space to identify the best fit for each course.
When should I submit a Course Placement Change Request?
Course Placement Change Requests can be submitted at any time after the CCS close date for the given term to reflect changes to enrollment, instructional needs, meeting patterns, or accessibility requirements that affect your current classroom assignment.
Final Exams & Special Activities
Do I need to submit a request for every final exam?
Only if your course requires an in-person classroom. Courses without a submitted Final Exam Request are assumed to administer their final exam online.
Can I change my final exam after submitting my request?
Yes. Changes to exam dates, times, or classroom assignments should be submitted through the Final Exam Request form. Requests will be reviewed based on classroom availability.
What qualifies as a course-related activity?
Examples include extended course time, unique testing, small group sessions, review sessions, and mandatory academic program related meetings. All course-related activities must directly link to a scheduled course.
Student Organizations & Events

Is there a limit to classroom reservations?
Yes. Each student organization may reserve up to eight hours of classroom time per week to ensure equitable access.
Can our organization show a movie?
Yes, provided organizations provide proof of an appropriate public performance license before the screening.
